Testimonials

"

My coaching experience with Earl was wonderful.  We worked through barriers that I had placed on myself and helped me identify what truly matters.  I am thankful to have taken part in this experience and am honored to have him as a coach and as I continue on with my career and personal mission.

"

Working with Earl as my coach was a great experience. He always gave me the space to talk and he listened attentively to what I had to say. He found the balance between letting me speak but also keeping the conversation on track to achieve the goal set for the session. I also appreciated how he guided me to find the answers myself by asking the right questions and  helping me do the deeper work.

"

I needed some perspective adjustment…my “old ways” of managing my emotions as they related to work had been affected. The time I spent meeting with Earl and the self-work I did between meetings helped me approach the season much more positively. I have a new joy in how I manage my work, and my priorities are in better alignment with my Christian faith. Earl set himself as a catalyst for whatever I needed and helped encourage me to think outside of myself.

My Story

"

“Having Earl as my personal development coach was a true privilege. I was going through some rough patches in life with no one I truly felt comfortable to turn to. It was thanks to Earl and our one-on-one coaching sessions that I was able to persevere. Earl showed me genuine kindness, warmth, and a sincere passion to help. With Earl’s guidance, we did the deep inner work which was necessary for me to heal from my past, and look forward to building myself up for a better future

My story

My story started when my parents moved from the Philippines to Rhode Island in 1972. They came to this country to provide my siblings and me with a better life. Nearly 40 years later, I am a husband and father with abundant life and leadership experiences.

I have nearly 20 years of professional experience in higher education within student affairs, campus recreation, and wellness.  Much of my time in higher education was dedicated to helping college students and full-time employees develop as individuals and leaders.

My life purpose has always centered around my faith, teaching, listening, and championing others with care and compassion. I am a trained and certified personal and leadership development coach through the Co-Active Training Institute, the International Coaching Federation, and also bring my knowledge of:

      - Gallup’s CliftonStrengths coaching

      - a masters degree from Bowling Green State University (2004)

      - a bachelors degree from the University of Rhode Island (2002)

      - 11 years as a co-owner of an adult social sports league (Social Sports of Bethesda, LLC)

      - and years of professional experience at the University of Maryland, College Park

I am reminded of why I am called to this work to coach others, and the words of Mother Teresa resonate in my heart:

“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things

with great love.”

FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who do you coach?

I enjoy working with people who are curious to learn, can stretch out of their comfort zone, and have a growth mindset.

What are your rates?

Great question! Let’s set up a free sample session to see if we have a good coach-client fit and we can talk about rates.

What’s our plan for meeting?

That depends on you. If you are in the Maryland, DC, or Northern Virginia area, I’m happy to meet you in person if you are comfortable. Other options are on Zoom/Google Meet or by phone. Your choice!

Why should I hire you as my coach?

The simple answer. You don’t need a coach if you are fully living your life well lived. Hiring a coach means you are ready and committed to making changes for yourself. If you are saying YES to creating a new story for yourself, then hiring a coach may be a path forward for you.

Do any of these resonate with you?

  • Desire to be a self-aware leader?

  • Not being enough

  • Paralyzed by perfectionism

  • Dominated with imposter syndrome

  • People pleasing (family, friends, co-workers, those we lead, etc.)

  • Not able to get projects to the finish line

  • Fear of failure

  • Feeling stuck

That said, if any of these resonate with you, we may be a good fit.
